What is Mathletics ?

Mathletics is a competition designed to create a passion in the application of mathematics in solving day-to-day scientific and engineering problems. Students will be challenged in creative use of mathematics.  Different facets of mathematics will be introduced and tested.

Professional Engineers Ontario - Scarborough Chapter has been conducting this challenge for young prospective engineers for the past 5 years and it has become o popular that other organizations such as Visions of Science (VOS), National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Panorama India etc. Other chapters of PEO are seeking assistance of Scarborough Chapter to conduct this challenging game of Math and Engineering/Science/Sports etc. at their locations - because Engineering and Mathematics co-exist in one way or other in our daily life, sports activities etc.

How is the game played ?

Mathletics is normally conducted in an auditorium and all guests/parents/teachers/well wishers will be able to watch the students in action. Questions will be projected on a screen and the students will respond using remote/clickers. Results and answers will also be displayed on a large screen.
