We are proud to hold our 9th Annual Bridge Building Competition for Scarborough students in grades 3-6 (Junior) and grades 7-8 (Senior).
Students build bridges out of Popsicle sticks and White school glue, and we break them right in front of them and a large audience! This is not a small task as some of the bridges built were very strong.
Over the years that this competition has been run, the quality of the best bridges and their strength/weight ratio has consistently improved. The students are learning and getting better. One thing still puzzles though; how do the junior grades often produce bridges that consistently do better than the seniors? Visit our website and look at the results observed over the years.
